Irregardless, this is an excellent sleeve for the Fire. The fit and finish of the stitching and materials is of very high quality. Much more padded than you would think from the pictures. The inside material feels very velour like and will definitely pad and not scratch your device. The closure is with one long "female sided" velcro, with three 1.25" "male" velcro strips. More than enough to keep the flap closed, even under situations where the flap is being pushed/pulled in a gym bag or purse. Overall, this sleeve easily gets FIVE stars. Awesome quality of materials, great design and the inside of the sleeve could not be more luxurious. The sleeve's outer shell is made of nylon and the interior is made of a soft fur like material that will keep the Kindle scratch free. The Kindle Fire fits perfectly in the sleeve. It is the exact width and height of the Kindle Fire and it does not move around while stored in the sleeve.
